The Collaboration between an artist & an engineer

The freethinking artist and the logic engineer are since the 60s a team that have been a common process for a large scale sculptures. I have a personal interest in this project as I was brought up in a family of engineers and artists. A combination of logical discussions of how things worked were often interrupted by existential and aesthetic questions around the dinner table and plant my interest in the world of ‘in-between’. I mapped out differences and similarities and looked where they meet, in geometry, which makes their high visual and spatial ability. The Fibonacci sequence became a natural choice for structuring the design. The series became the reasons for dividing the chapters and the chapters are in relation to each other in terms of consequences for example with starting point artist/engineer (fig 1 and fig 1) and the next chapter is differences and similarities and is the size of the two previous ones total length.
